Founded by Jean-François Fountaine and Yves Pajot in 1976, Fountaine Pajot started building cruising catamarans in 1983.

The company now offers a complete, modern range of top quality sailing (Mahé 36, Lipari 41, Orana 44, Salina 48, Sanya 57, and Galathea 65) as well as power (Highland 35 PILOT, Summerland 40, Cumberland 46 and Queensland 55) catamarans. Using advanced technology while creating corporate stability, Fountaine Pajot generates sustained profits through its international activities.

With two high tech production sites in La Rochelle, at the heart of one of the world's most important shipbuilding areas, Fontaine Pajot has, since 2005, been investing considerable amounts to update its production facilities creating a fleet of luxurious, economical, fast cruising catamarans.

Since 1983, 23 models have been created by multidisciplinary teams bringing together the best outside designers and their own design department of ten people.
