Florida Yacht Group Expands Operations, Adds Brands

Description: Despite economic downturn, Florida Yacht Group, bears down on premium brands and upgraded service, poised to resurface on top of their game.

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- February 4, 2009 -- Miami Beach, FL -- It was announced today, that Eastern Yachts has officially become part of the Florida Yacht Group (FYG) , the marketing entity for several previously independent dealers such as Florida Yacht Charters and Sales, Sailboats Florida, Yacht Sales Florida and various other licensees.

 

Eastern Yachts, is a prestigious yacht sales firm located at 1177 Avenue C, at the Port of Palm Beach, Florida in Palm Beach County. In doing so the group has added both the Beneteau and Catalina Yacht brands to its already impressive line-up of quality products. Per Huffeldt will remain active as a shareholder and Fokke De Jong as operations manager of the Palm Beach office.

 

In 2008, Florida Yacht Group also established majority ownership of Yacht Sales Florida and Sailboats Florida, both located in St. Petersburg, Florida. This gave the group a premium sales and operations hub on the west coast and added the high-end ­­Hanse and Moody Sailboat product lines. FYG is now the largest Dealer Network east of the Rockies with its ten locations throughout Florida and the Bahamas.

In 2008, the Group also expanded its fleet of charter yachts, and now also offers flexible fractional ownership and lease options in its new FlexTime program. It also expanded its service and warranty capabilities to focus on excelling in customer service. Dave Sell, CEO added,
