Romancing the SeaAboard Florida Yacht Charters’ “Cruise N’ Couples” Vacation Sailing CourseFlorida Yacht Charters & Sales, Inc., the premier yacht charter company based in Miami’s “South Beach”, invites couples to savor tropical island romance at sea with a unique on-the-water vacation experience called our “Cruise N’ Couples” course. This vacation package not only offers the perfect combination of blissful romance for two, but also provides a great way to “learn-the-ropes” of sailing a fine cruising yacht. Novice sailors may earn their nationally-recognized American Sailing Association certification for Basic Keelboat; and/or Basic Coastal Cruising. Sailors with prior experience may also earn their Bareboat Charter or Coastal Navigation certification. Yet, there’s plenty of time for beachcombing, sunbathing, snorkeling and stargazing. Designed for one or two couples, this course is typically taught aboard an all-new Jeanneau 42’ deck salon model, equipped with all the toys. This luxurious model features two private double cabins each with its own bath/head with shower. Other amenities include air conditioning, generator, easy-to-handle in-mast furling sails; electric anchor windlass; bow thruster; a modern galley with refrigerator, freezer, microwave and propane stove/oven; plus a very spacious, luxurious interior. There’s also a stern-mounted BBQ grill, for those sunset dinners at anchor. An inflatable dinghy with outboard carried on davits is included, for added fun exploring the emerald isles of the Florida Keys and Bahamas. Guests may start their live-aboard vacation from one of three of Florida Yacht Charters’ convenient fleet locations: chic Miami Beach; quaint Key West or the exotic “out-islands” of Abaco, Bahamas. The itinerary can be tailored to your meet your preferences, with a choice of cruising destinations: Miami:Enjoy the cosmopolitan excitement of Miami’s “American Riviera” from world-renown, historic “Art Deco” district of South Beach. From our headquarters at the Miami Beach Marina, leave the cruise ship crowds and sparkling skyscrapers of downtown Miami in your wake as the turquoise waters of Biscayne Bay welcome you to the Florida Keys. Depending on weather conditions, the itinerary will include nights spent at anchor and in local marinas, with snorkel trips to Key Largo’s famous “John Pennekamp Underwater State Park” full of beautiful corals reefs and myriads of brilliantly colored tropical fish.Key West:Leave the hectic pace of modern civilization behind, kick back, relax and enjoy Key West’s laid-back island charm. The “Conch Republic” is famous for it’s spectacular sunsets, seafaring history and peaceful anchorages. Sail north to the Florida Keys, or west to Fort Jefferson National Park in the Dry Tortugas.Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas:Dubbed the “out-islands” by the Bahamas government, this pristine island chain is a far cry from the casino gambling and cruise ships that characterize the larger islands of Freeport and Nassau. The Abacos are quite the opposite, with alluring, gin-clear waters of the Sea of Abaco; peaceful anchorages; breathtaking white sandy beaches, and New England-like charm of local villages. Fly into Marsh Harbour and depart from the lovely Abaco Beach Resort at Boat Harbour Marina. Enjoy easy day sails and island-hopping around the Abacos, with stops at Hopetown, Guana Cay, Man-O-War; and Little Harbour, home of “Pete’s Pub” and the Johnson family’s artist gallery.Ready to get on board?
